CARTOELX es una empresa que utiliza como materia prima el cartón y que, por lo tanto, tiene muy en cuenta su impacto medioambiental. La mayoría del cartón que utilizamos es reciclado y nuestros residuos también pasan por un proceso de reciclado. Sin embargo, la dependencia energética de las compañías sigue siendo el talón de Aquiles de muchas de las PYMES españolas.

Conscientes de que se requería un mayor esfuerzo en este ámbito, CARTOELX se propuso en 2008 destinar recursos con el objetivo de llegar a ser una empresa que utiliza 100% energía renovable. ¿El camino a seguir? La energía solar.

" La energía solar fotovoltaica es una fuente de energía que produce electricidad de origen renovable, obtenida directamente a partir de la radiación solar mediante un dispositivo semiconductor denominado célula fotovoltaica, o bien mediante una deposición de metales sobre un sustrato denominada célula solar de película fina.
Este tipo de energía se usa para alimentar innumerables aplicaciones y aparatos autónomos, para abastecer refugios o viviendas aisladas de la red eléctrica y para producir electricidad a gran escala a través de redes de distribución."

Es por esto que la energía solar se configura como una alternativa muy provechosa para las empresas que pueden incluir en su cadena de valor el abastecerse energéticamente de una manera limpia, renovable y respetuosa con el medio ambiente.

De este modo, CARTOELX dispone, desde el año 2008, de un parque fotovoltaico con una potencia de instalación de 91,64 kWp y que supone un ahorro de 2 toneladas de CO² al año.

Como reconocimiento a este empeño en mejorar nuestro suministro eléctrico, CARTOELX recibió en 2007 el certificado de energía 100% renovable por parte de Enérgya - VM del grupo Villar Mir.

CARTOELX is a Company that uses cardboard as a raw material and, therefore, puts a great deal of thought into its environmental impact. Most of the cardboard we use is recycled and our residues are processed to be recycled. However, energy dependency remains the weak spot in a lot of small and medium-sized companies in Spain.

Being aware that a mayor effort was needed in this area, CARTOELX took upon itself, in 2008,  to employ resources with the objective of becoming a company that uses 100% renewable energy. ¿The way to go? Solar power.

This is why solar power is becoming a beneficial alternative to companies that can integrate into their chain of value to get a power supply that is clean, renewable and environmentally conscious.

Thus, CARTOELX ha, since 2008, a photovoltaic farm with a capacity of 91,64 kWp with an annual savings of 2 tons of CO ².

As a recognition to this effort in enhancing our power supply, CARTOELX received in 2007 a certificate stating that its supply comes from 100% renewable energy from Enérgya – VM from the Villar Mir Group.
